The celebration continues in Europe for Sonic the Hedgehog's 20th birthday, with an impressive collector's edition of the upcoming Sonic Generations game for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The Sonic Generations Collector's Edition combines limited edition collectibles based on the new game with items selected by Sonic Team, turning Sonic's 20th anniversary into a celebration for both longtime fans and new players.
The collector's edition includes a figure featuring both Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic, an exclusive individually numbered commemorative Gold Ring, and a 20 Years of Sonic Art book with sketches and artwork from the past two decades. It also includes the 20th Anniversary Sonic Soundtrack, a selection of tracks chosen by Sonic Team, and the History of Sonic: Birth of an Icon documentary, with interviews and footage charting Sonic's rise from the beginning to one of gaming's most recognisable characters. Limited lenticular packaging and extra downloadable bonus content complete the package.
Sonic Generations is expected to be available in November 2011 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game will also be released for Nintendo 3DS.
