Perhaps one of gaming's most public secrets, EA's remake of Bullfrog's classic Syndicate, has leaked through the publisher's Origin download service.

Screenshots and information about the game appeared on EA's Origin platform. The reboot of the Syndicate franchise, which began with Syndicate in 1993 and continued with Syndicate Wars in 1996, is a shooter and will be released without a subtitle.

Syndicate is set in 2069. Players take on the role of Miles Kilo, the latest prototype agent from the Eurocorp corporation, in a violent action story about corruption and revenge. Although the game is a first-person shooter, Starbreeze wants to give it a few distinctive features. Because of the futuristic setting, Miles Kilo can use chip-based abilities to grow stronger, see through walls and slow down time.

The writer describes the game as a brutal adventure in which corruption and revenge play a major role. A separate four-player online cooperative mode will also be included.

When Syndicate will be released and which platforms it will appear on is not yet known. More information should follow once Electronic Arts officially announces the game.
